Please find enclosed a copy of the Priory of Sion’s Dossiers Secrets, as referred to by Dan Brown in his intro to The Da Vinci Code, along with a reproduction of the Serpent Rouge. Although Brown claimed to have independently researched the historical facts woven into his novel, it was abundantly clear to us from his testimony at the trial that he probably hadn’t actually ever seen the real Dossiers Secrets. Furthermore, it appears that he never even realized that most of the “historical facts” that he had “researched” were nothing more than a cunningly devised back-story for a surrealistic real-life performance art piece, which is still being enacted today. Your mission is to investigate these convolutions from a completely uninitiated perspective and report back to us, so that the Red Herrings can better understand how to seed hermetic triggers into the public consciousness in our future works. Standing. I am standing in Saint Sulpice. Scenes from Là-Bas dance in my head. The heads of Baudelaire, and de Sade were baptized here. Hugo married Adèle Foucher in Saint Sulpice. I am not at peace, though. In hand, worn, crumpled, pathetically reproduced and practically illegible is a document, or is it a poem— titled Le Serpent Rouge - Notes sur Saint-Germain-des-Prés et de Saint-Sulpice de Paris.
I’ve been told to “make sense of it.” This Friend is my boss, as I am the newly hired personal assistant to Stella Maris, proprietor of MemoryMap, a music production company – or, so I thought when I went on the job interview. But, instead of taking phone messages and typing dictation, I will be paid to retrace her footsteps through time… to tell the story like it really was and not like it became. A puzzle. A dream. Things are not as they seem. I had been hoping to meet real rock stars and drink Blanc de Noire. Yet, here I stand in an obscure church in Paris, slowly losing the plot.
The manuscript Stella gave me, Le Serpent Rouge—a poem, or a beginning, consists of 13 stanzas each crowned with an astrological house. Ophiuchus, or Serpentarius, a constellation whose southern part lies between Scorpio to the west and Sagittarius to the east makes up the 13th sign. Is it poetic license or a map template based on the zodiac? And, why was it written by the three authors who wrote it, but did not, but really did exist. Stella says their names were “borrowed” from the obituary of a local French newspaper in the 1960s by a “prankster”, how gruesome is that?
To make sense of it all I will have to reenter the church. I walk back in and begin walking from west to east, like Stella did, where I come upon the first chapel. The murals of Eugene Delacroix hang here. I understand! My fingers cannot turn the tattered pages of this poem fast enough… Virgo! “Here is the sign which Delacroix had given in one of the three pictures from the chapel of angels.” Before my eyes, in the Chapel of Angels at Saint Sulpice, is Jacob fighting the Angel by Ferdinand-Victor-Eugène Delacroix. Could this be a coincidence?
Following Stella’s footsteps, I walk to the south transept where I come across a curious marble slab. If only I had a compass. Slowly, step by step, I walk the line traversing the transept to another inscribed plate in front of the altar. And now I stand in front of an obelisk—a possible tribute to the Egyptian sun god, Ra? What kind of line was this? It was not the prime meridian or a line of longitude. I knew the original Paris Zero Meridian was sited roughly 300 yards to the east, at the Paris Observatory, and the current Prime Meridian was sitting in Greenwich. So, what is the purpose of a solar meridian?
Surrounded by works of the Scorpio stanza’s Emile Signol, embraced by two stained glass windows marked “P” and “S”, I look “south to north and from east to west, finally spinning in all directions.” Once again, I turn to this mysterious manuscript and discover, under the sign of the Twins, "looking from the South to the North, finally in all directions to obtain the desired solution.”
Is this some kind of initiation… or just a tour of the church? Yet, when I read the very last line of Gemini, “The circle being the ring coil of snake and the crown”, I know it was much more. The coil of a serpent. The layout of the Church. The crown. Which path was I taking and will I make it to Kether? Stella says that Geburah is a bitch and to avoid that route at all costs.
I have to get out of this church, it’s too much. Running, running, I lose my way and find myself on Rue Lobineau. Lobineau—where have I heard that name? Then I remember that author of the Dossiers Secrets is listed as a Henri Lobineau… could this be some kind of in-joke?
But, I have no time to ponder the vagaries of French humor as I’ve had enough of this prankster pilgrimage for now and I’m off to Deux Magots, where I’ll skip the Pimm’s Royale and settle instead on a nice glass of red from an area I’ve never heard of called the Corbieres.
Relaxing at an outside table, I look across the ancient square and groan when I realize that the picturesque church in front of me is named Saint-Germain-des-Prés, just like Saint Sulpice’s partner in the Serpent Rouge…

Rose Line is a name given to the Paris Meridian in the Priory of Sion, a name given to multiple groups, both real and fictitious and popularized by Dan Brown in his novel The Da Vinci Code.[1] Although the same name Rose Line is used for the Paris Meridian in both contexts, it also involves different definitions.

1967 Priory of Sion document Au Pays de la Reine Blanche[2][3] states that "Rennes-les-Bains is located precisely on the Zero Meridian, which connects Saint-Sulpice in Paris" adding that "the parish of Rennes-les-Bains guards the heart of Roseline", being a reference to Saint Roseline de Villeneuve. Au Pays de la Reine Blanche also referred to "the line of the Zero Meridian, that is to say the red line, in English: 'Rose-line'".[4] Later in 1978, Pierre Plantard also referred to the "red line of the meridian, the 'Rose-Line'...since Roseline, the Abbess of the 'Celle aux Arcs', celebrates her feast day on 17 January... and her legend is well worth a read".[5]

The term Rose Line has been popularized by Dan Brown in his novel The Da Vinci Code as an alternate name for "the world's first prime meridian",[1] identified as the Paris Meridian.[6] Brown's novel also conflates this meridian with a gnomon in the Parisian church of Saint-Sulpice marked in the floor with a brass line,[7] as did the 1967 Priory Document Le Serpent Rouge - Notes sur Saint-Germain-des-Près et Saint-Sulpice de Paris attributed to Pierre Feugère, Louis Saint-Maxent and Gaston de Koker,[8] which called the Rose Line the "Red Serpent". The Paris Meridian actually passes about 100 metres east of the gnomon,[9] which according to author Sharan Newman and a sign in the church was "never called a Rose-Line".[7][10] A St Sulpice booklet dating from 2000, in the page about the history of the gnomon describes the brass line as "a meridian", it does not use the term Roseline or Rose Line.[11]
Brown identified the Paris Meridian with the alleged bloodline of Jesus Christ and Mary Magdalene as well as Rosslyn Chapel, the central part of his novel. Quoting from The Da Vinci Code:
"Rosslyn Chapel's entrance was more modest than Langdon expected. The small wooden door had two iron hinges and a simple oak sign, Roslin. This ancient spelling, Langdon explained to Sophie, derived from the Rose Line meridian on which the chapel sat; or, as Grail academics preferred to believe, from the 'Line of the Rose' — the ancestral lineage of Mary Magdalene..."[12]
Quoting Mark Oxbrow and Ian Robertson from their book Rosslyn and the Grail:
"Dan Brown simply invented the 'Rose Line' linking Rosslyn and Glastonbury. The name 'Roslin' definitely does not derive from any 'hallowed Rose Line'. It has nothing to do with a 'Rose Bloodline' or a 'Rose Line meridian'. There are many medieval spellings of 'Rosslyn'. 'Roslin' is certainly not the 'original spelling': it is now the most common spelling for the village."[13]
While Brown presents the Rose Line as "the world's first prime meridian",[1] the idea of establishing a Prime Meridian dates back to antiquity,[14] with suggested meridians running through Rhodes or the Canary Islands. When Greenwich was adopted as the universal zero longitude in 1884[15] (not 1888 as the novel says), it had at least nine rivals besides Paris (Berlin, Cadiz, Copenhagen, Lisbon, Rio, Rome, Saint Petersburg, Stockholm, and Tokyo).
At the climax of the novel, the protagonist follows the line of Arago medallions to the Louvre museum, where (according to the book) the Paris Meridian passes beneath the so-called Inverted Pyramid in an underground mall in front of the museum. Following the tradition of esoteric interpretations of this meridian, the novel hints that this is the final resting place of the Holy Grail. The fact that the meridian passes near the Inverted Pyramid is also noted in the book Le guide du Paris maçonnique by Raphäel Aurillac, who likewise ascribes some deeper, esoteric significance to this.
In the Louvre area, the meridian line marked by the Arago medallions actually runs through the museum and the great courtyard at a spot considerably to the east of the Inverted Pyramid. The medallions in the museum are behind ticketed access points, while the Inverted Pyramid is located in a public mall next to the museum.
Other landmarks said to lie on the line are Arques and Conques,[16] the Lady of the Roses cathedral in Rodez, St. Vincent's in Carcassonne, and the Church of St. Stephen's in Bourges, and Rennes-les-Bains.

Brilliant Jewel of DeVine Mercy brought to me by Elohymn singing in high sweet chords on 9/21/05-9/24/05; I saw the white dove fly, I heard "Wake up!" And I knew. And I said "I am awake", and my LORD my GOD said, "No, you are not. I want you to wake up, now." It is something so magestic that once it happens you just know. Soft sparkles of white snow seemed to float down on me. I breathed the Holy Spirit Breath. I was compelled to sprinkle flower blossoms whereupon I feed the birds.
And my Good Lord given unto me taught me the names of God within the word "Kabbalah" and He hath taught me the Living Word of God and shown me wherein all religions connect and bid me to show others if I wish. He saith to me: "Let Your Compass be your Compassion" = TELL THEM> The Time is at Hand**
I wrote and told. "The Kingdom is Come, when two shall become One." And I have never met Him by phone nor "in the flesh" but by this marvelous mystery called, I think, "Divine Union" and it is through The Holy Spirit that we have been entirely connected (Ringing me in Ceremony)
